04/16/20 - 05/21/20 (6 weeks)
Each week children will participate in a different workshop exploring various scientific discoveries through unique themes. What’s that you see? The Eye to Eye workshop will explain how our sight is something we use everyday without even trying. Children will learn how our eyes work, and how sometimes our minds can even play tricks on them! In a Taste and Smell journey, children will be introduced to their senses of smell and taste as they discover how these senses help them enjoy all of their favorite foods and smells, as well as those that are not as pleasant! Boom, tap, smack, cha-cha-cha! Listen to the sounds and rhythm in the Science of Music workshop. Our musicians will feel, hear, and see the vibrations that help create music in this hands-on exploration. Then, let’s take a walk on the wild side as we all jump into the world of our Animal Friends. Children will learn how animals live and what it’s like to be one. Animal masks will be created and taken home to continue the adventure with family and friends! In Weather Wonders, children will learn all about clouds, pressure systems, and even get to make a cloud in a bottle! They will also learn how weather can affect us in our everyday lives. Finally, we will explore the human body to find out what makes us tick! In the Human Body workshop, children will learn the names of organs, how many bones there are in our body, and that there is more to us underneath our skin!
